Create a lush, vibrant aquascape with Rotala rotundifolia 'Dwarf', a compact and easy-to-grow stem plant that is perfect for adding texture, movement, and natural beauty to freshwater aquariums. Supplied as a healthy potted plant, this variety features small, rounded green leaves that can develop attractive pink and reddish hues under higher lighting, making it an excellent choice for both beginner and experienced aquascapers.
Fast-growing and highly adaptable, Dwarf Rotala responds well to regular trimming, producing numerous side shoots that quickly form a dense, bushy display. It is ideal for creating a colourful midground or background feature in planted aquariums.
Remove the plant from the pot and carefully remove the rock wool from around the roots. Separate the stems if desired and plant them individually a few centimetres apart. This encourages better root development and creates a fuller, more natural-looking group as the stems branch and grow.
