Create a bright, clean, and natural-looking aquarium with JBL Sansibar White, a premium fine-grain natural sand designed for freshwater and marine aquariums. Its brilliant white colour provides stunning contrast against aquatic plants, driftwood, rocks, and colourful fish, making it an excellent choice for aquascaping, display aquariums, and nature-inspired layouts.

Made from smooth, rounded natural sand with a fine 0.2–0.6mm grain size, JBL Sansibar White is gentle on sensitive barbels and fins, making it ideal for bottom-dwelling species such as corydoras, loaches and catfish. The substrate is water-neutral, containing no substances that alter your aquarium's water chemistry, making it safe for a wide range of freshwater and marine inhabitants while supporting healthy root growth for aquatic plants. Its bright white colour creates a striking aquascape and reflects light beautifully throughout the aquarium, making fish colours appear more vibrant and your display feel larger and brighter. 

Rinse the substrate thoroughly before use to remove any fine dust created during transport. Spread evenly across the aquarium base to a depth of approximately 5–8cm, depending on your aquascape. For heavily planted aquariums, JBL Sansibar White can be used over a nutrient-rich planting substrate to encourage healthy root development.
