Featuring a beautiful natural grey colour with subtle speckled tones, Sansibar Grey provides a stunning neutral backdrop that enhances the colours of fish, aquatic plants, and hardscape without overpowering your aquascape.

JBL Sansibar Grey is made from smooth, rounded natural sand that is gentle on sensitive barbels and fins. It is an excellent choice for bottom-dwelling species such as Corydoras, loaches and catfish while also providing an attractive foundation for planted aquariums and aquascaping layouts. The substrate is completely water-neutral, ensuring it won't alter your aquarium's pH or water chemistry.

Rinse the substrate thoroughly before use to remove any dust created during transport. Spread evenly across the aquarium base to a depth of approximately 5–8cm. For heavily planted aquariums, JBL Sansibar Grey can be used over a nutrient-rich substrate to provide additional nutrients for aquatic plant roots.
